AbstrakZakat is one of the pillars of Islam, which is an indicator for Muslims to be able to carry it out. Zakat is a self-cleaning activity for the assets owned by a person in order to be able to carry out social responsibility. Zakat becomes an instrument of income distribution in order to achieve a level of equity and justice. The implementation system of zakat in Malaysia is usually managed by Majlis Agama Islam Negeri (MAIN), which is based on each region.(Zakat, 2020, p. 60) The form of zakat fund collection in Malaysia has increased significantly every year. Furthermore, this proves that the practice of zakat in Malaysia is excellent. (Meerangani et al., 2021, p. 38). In general, the institutional form in Malaysia is divided into three groups: corporations, semi-corporations, and state-owned enterprises.(Hidayatie, 2018, p. 19). Zakat management has different forms of regulation, so sometimes there are differences in perceptions about the operational system of zakat; besides that, the political structure in Malaysia also affects it. The problems that occur in PCIM Malaysia related to the collection of zakat that has been done are still not significant with the number of people of Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur; this is indicated because the level of participation of the community in the zakat management system at PCIM is not maximized. This activity uses an extension approach to the community through syiar or da'wah to the people of Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur. It is hoped that this community service program will create awareness among people who already have an obligation to pay their zakat so that the quantity of zakat collection in PCIM will increase
