Abstrak | The objective of this research is to assess the digital competence of teachers in Ponorogo Regency,
East Java, Indonesia, focusing on Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) and public secondary schools in Cordoba,
Spain. The research aims to compare the outcomes of the two contexts. Additionally, by measuring these
contexts, the researchers seek to examine the influence of teachers' digital competence on their English
language instruction in the classroom. Notably, this measurement adopts the DigComp 3.0 European
framework, which includes five competencies: 1) Information and data literacy, 2) Communication and
collaboration, 3) Digital content creation, 4) Safety, and 5) Problem-solving. This is a descriptive
quantitative research study utilizing survey and interview methods. The analysis measures the digital
competence of English language teachers by adopting the European framework. The results are calculated
based on the observed data, scores are obtained, and conclusions are drawn based on predetermined
criteria. The primary data used in this study is collected directly from the individuals involved.
